Additonal Category endorsements

It may be obvious I spent some time looking at FAR's today. Maybe not enough because I came up with more questions than answers.


What endorsements (if any) are required if a private pilot to solo and aircraft they are not rated for. For example Private ASEL to solo a Glider. If there is a requirement where is it found?

I probably should know this one, but I have used it for 6 or 7 years.

NEVER MIND,

I knew I should have researched this one a bit more, the 61.31(d)(3) and the new 61.31(d)(2). require the endorsement.

It was right in front of me I just missed it I was looking how they have moved the parts of this FAR around.
