I'm probably headed for Addison, TX (ADS) this Friday for more soccer. Any thoughts on the best FBO for fuel, tiedown, and rent car?

...not a cheap place. If you want an awesome lunch that travels and know Jerry Temple, call him and ask him where that bagel place is. Expect a fairly complex arrival and talk fast on the radio. Expect a fairly complex departure.

I'm based in Addison and should be here this weekend. Let me know what I can do.
Million Air is at the north end; Mercury is mid field and First Air is also about mid field (all are on the east side). Fuel for transient aircraft is $3.75 to 4.15. There is much more affordable fuel just outside to the north if you're coming from that direction. (Like 2.29.
All FBOs should have rental cars; Mercury and Million Air for sure, but call to firm up. Crazy tax here for rental cars, be sure to ask for all costs, not just rate if you rent.
How long are you staying? I can work out a parking place if it's not too long. Can get you a fuel discount on field if you use my tail number and have a company pick up that could be available--would be willing to work for dinner and a margarita. You might have to say y'all couple of times

Thanks so much for the feedback. I'm headed down Friday and will be coming home Sunday. We're going down for a soccer tournament in Richardson (maybe there's a better airport to go into?). It's only 1.5 hours down so I don't need to get gas unless the weather's bad for the return trip. I usually try to fuel up wherever I go, but at $4.15 I won't feel obligated. I'll call around for rent car rates.

I flew into Addison a few years ago and I went to Millionaire. They were really nice, I didn't think the prices were outrageous. They set me up with a rental car and pulled it right up to the door for me and helped with the baggage from the airplane to the car. It felt a little intimidating parking my Cardinal amongst the Lears and Gulfstreams but they made a point of telling me that they like little airplanes too.
A few months ago I had a woman in at my office, an IT specialist, upgrading the EDI software that we use. In my discussions with her we discovered that we are both pilots so we just had to go to lunch and talk about flying. Anyway, I told her about the trip I took to Addison and that I used Millionaire and she told me that she used to work there. It is a small world.
