I made a jumper cable connector this winter for the airport backhoe. It was reluctant on cold mornings and getting access to the battery required tools.
Found a large single pin connector set at NAPA and installed it. Noticed that it looked a lot like the Piper jumper.
Someone needed to jump a Piper yesterday and the Piper jumper couldn't be found. Thought I'd try the back hoe jumper. Nothing to lose. Didn't expect it to fit but it did - perfectly. I don't remember what it cost but I'm sure that it was less than the "aviation" model.
I made it up as an adapter instead of as a jumper set. Installed a short positive battery cable to the connector and use a regular jumper cable set with it.
