Accelerated Multi training in South West

Can anyone recommend a school? I let my CFI/CFII expire about 12 years ago and an MEI as an add-on seems to be the least painful route to get it reinstated. I have 800+ hours instruction given, about 120 hours multi, and just coming up to 1,500 hrs total -- anyone know what to expect with the oral? I've heard horror stories from other people that have reinstated their instructor tickets (like 8hr orals, etc). Most of my flying has been in the San Diego area, so a change of scenery would be nice for this one.

Edit: I did have my MEI check ride booked many years ago but gave up after DPE scheduling issues. I haven't flow a twin since.

I would be interested to hear the DPE backlog down there. That seemed to be the biggest hindrance to getting something done quickly around Denver.
