Hello I was diagnosed with crohns quite a long time ago, have been symptom free with no medication for 12 years. Finally went and got my medical and it got deferred. In reading information I find some of it contradictory. Per cacci worksheet I should have been issued a medical. But reading the aasi it sounds like the first time must be deferred. Can anyone confirm?

That's the AASI guidance. You missed the CACI guidance and so did the AME (sent to your personal email). Lok at what I send you, at the VERY bottom. The AME makes a declaration- one of 3 options, at the bottom.
Even if you end up on an AASI, any AME can cancel the AASI if the FIRST option is true. Ten years, no meds, no symptoms clearly meets this std.
