A320 training flight crashes into sea off France

The only possible reasons for this crash are:

  • No flght plan filled
  • Composite construction
  • Software
  • Nose wheel or other gear problems
  • or anything lese that will make Greg's head explode at that the thought ;)

You missed one, although I will forgive you for it because it was in another thread.

The co-pilot was working for free and the captain had done so in the past.

I believe the airplane had just come off lease from a German airline. Probably they hadn't reset the crew warning system from German:
Achtung!, Achtung! Ziehen Sie hoch, bevor Sie naß erhalten

To New Zealand:
G'day! Crikey, if you don't raise the nose, we'll all be in for a splash, fair dinkum?

Yeah, I saw that too, and my first thought was shouldn't there be some kind of self-test for the sensors on start-up? I can see where mis-applied paint might screw something up, but so could a mud dauber, smashed bug, little bit of ice, etc.

Or tape applied prior to cleaning the aircraft:

A thorough walkaround of an airliner is a big job, but it's gotta be done.
