This one was done in July 2025.
Three nice island destinations. Lots of nice pics, airborne and on the ground. Four flying videos edited to show the ATC interaction so you can see what IFR flying in Europe is like.
Quite a bit of stress too at times, starting with a big screwup caused by the European IFR route validation system (Eurocontrol) issuing a SUSP as I was getting into the taxi to the airport. I dealt with that one by filing the same route "VFR" and getting an IFR clearance when airborne, in Belgium (practically impossible in the UK, into Class A). I didn't expect it to work for the ~800nm flight but it worked right away. Then a load of hassle with Greek handlers, which is to be expected (it is a beautiful if at times barely functioning country) but it did cause the loss of one destination (Chios).
