Decided to take a little trip last weekend to my dad's cabin in Canada so I decided to fly to International Falls, MN. Since I just got my IFR I though I should file just to keep comfortable in the system. While I was at it, I realized I've never been in Minneapolis air space. Long story short, I filed KFOD MKT FCM GEP GPZ KINL. Low and behold I got cleared as filed! The best part was when I got to Minneapolis, the controller asked if I'd like vectors to see downtown! Heck yeah, lets go. So, on my FIRST ever IFR flight by myself, I got my FIRST Class Bravo, a tour of Minneapolis and even a little actual!!! By far my best flight ever. For those of you considering your IFR, GET IT!!! It makes flying so much easier.
