A solution for GA's fuel woes?

Interesting article about an inventor who claims that his advanced biofuel could seamlessly replace 100LL, at half the cost. The fuel promises better range, less expense, and none of the traditional E-85 issues.

Well, the phrase "sounds to good to be true" somehow springs to mind! If true, sounds good. It doesn't mention any evaluation of compatibility with existing engine components, a problem we suffered with the ethanol additives.

I hope it pans out, and if it's really 1/2 the price of avgas, then it's about $1.20 a gallon less that unleaded auto gas. If that's the case, they should be looking at the auto market, too.
