Talk about an awesome day, started off with a flight review that went really well, enjoyed it and learned a few things, too.
My instructor leaving after signing my books.

Then it was off to Moraine to top off the tanks and hang out for a bit, too bad the place was pretty empty. Left there enroute to Waco Field to pick up Mrs VanDy for a late lunch at Urbana,

Chicks did taildraggers :D

Lunch at Urbana

Dropped Mrs VanDy off at Waco and she took a couple pics on my way out.

Then, the real fun began!!!

A 1937 Rolls Royce, this thing was by far the coolest car I've ever ridden in!!

put 4.5 hours on the meter today and loved every second of it!

Just had to share :D

Uhh, vintage Rolls Royce for me, but I didn't drive in it.

Made out with my girlfriend in it. Relationship soured when I saw her daddy's gun collection.

Color me jealous.

That is what a summer Saturday is all about. Airport hopping!

I completely agree! Lucky for me we have a pretty good number of folks around here that don't need an excuse to take their planes out when the weather is nice!

Those are some funky fenders on your little bird. I don't think they quite qualify as fairings, do they?

Sounds like a great day.

They are consolidair model 16 wheel fenders, they help keep the mud and rocks off the wing with having to worry about long grass breaking fairings
