I just now saw a commercial for yet another pill for....are you ready?....Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS). Got the jimmy leg? Here, take this pill. What a crack up, I thought I was watching SNL. Worse, they are serious.

I might just try it. I'm 'tired' of not sleeping every night. The only thing that has worked so far is deep massage and that is not readily available just any night at 2am.

Times sure change:

Napolean considered his jumpy leg an oman of good luck !

I suspect you are not kidding. Perhaps instead of a pill for jimmy leg you should see a M.D. or a sports therapist.

BTW: how can a pill selectively target a leg without having the same effect on otherwise placid muscles elsewhere in the body? I can see it now, Dave's legs feel much better but his arms are as limp as overcooked noodles.

While I am not personally knowledgeable regrding this drug's efficacy; I can assure you "restless leg syndrome" is a very real and distressing problem for many patient's and their bedmates!

I really have no idea but have seen some amazing things. Although we regret resorting to pills for every last ailment (and generally despise our pharmaceutical giants), they have brought great relief to many people!
Its possible this one is correcting a problem that only occurs in the legs? And the effect does not spill over into normal muscles. I am only guessing.

Okay, so the drug targets a build-up of chemical compounds in the cramped muscles. But RLS does not involve constricted muscles. I wonder if there is a similar thing going on which allows the drug to target selectively.
