Dear POA,

Ever since GauzeGuy started instrument training, he has forgotten how to land.

My landing gear is sore. Please help him.

Signed,

As my CFI said... I can teach anyone to take off and fly for just $50.00....

Teaching you to land correctly will be another $8950

There is an interesting phenomenon where new skills put your brain into overload and slightly older skills suffer. Don't worry, GauzeGuy will eventually become comfortable with the new skillset and be able to devote a few neurons to smoothing out landings.

Its normal to make crappy landings when you are mentally fatigued.

An hour and a half of bouncing around in turbulence under the hood and trying to learn how to fly approaches will do it.

Become an Airbus pilot. Learn to hit the "fly" and "land" buttons in the right sequence

Had to replace a fuel tank last year, AOG for almost two months with a wing off.
Took some helicopter flying lessons at that time - now THAT really screwed up my approaches! :D
