On the 18th of this month I made a flight from S49 Miller Memorial in Vale, OR. to BXK Buckeye, AZ. I had just finished a top overhaul on my 182 and had put about 4 1/2 hours on it before heading out. I had a friend that wanted a ride to Reno to buy a Pickup truck a fellow there had for sale. So I landed a Spanish Springs and let him off. ( a nice dirt runway) and then I stopped again in Kingman, Az. for fuel. We left at 7:30 MT. and got to BXK at about 3:00 AZ. time. The old airplane ran just great and my mechanic John McEntyre did a wonderful job on the top. I saw some new country and had great weather. I had to pre-heat my oil in Oregon, and I was hunting shade when I arrived in AZ. (91 degrees) This morning I am meeting some AZ. pilots for breakfast at AVQ. LIFE IS GOOD. Bob
