A little Sunday drive...

Kind of aeorbatics in two dimensions. Looks like lots of fun, so long as somebody else is buying the car and the tires. I like the way the rears burn off near the end. This was done in several sequences, as the lighting and day change from shot to shot. Even raining at one point. Notice he kissed the wall as he entered the track. That'll rub out!
I used to gymkahna with a Karmin-Ghia years ago. Lots of fun, but nothing like this.

Yeah, the key seems to be in spending the shoe company's money... :) But it's cool, nevertheless.

I believe it's a Focus. It's so modified it is just a badge on a completely custom car anyway.

I drove the tattered shell of a '69 Ghia for a while, but never autocrossed it. The King of Oversteer, though, was my '63 Corvair. We semi-affectionately called it "The Mosquito Fogger" due to its failed #5 oil ring. As it turned out, the tires were a good match for used SCCA Spec Racer tires - of which I had a good supply, for free, worn down to what we called "holographic tread depth". It was tons of fun to drive around the course, as long as you brought a couple extra quarts of 40 weight.

I don't think it went as fast as that Fiesta, though.
