Hey guys, here is a hypothetical scenario. Suppose you have a pilot who has a sport pilot certificate using his drivers license as a medical. If say he wants to move to Canada, is it possible for him to convert to a Canadian version of the U.S. sport pilot certificate? Looking online, they have a Transport Canada Ultralight Pilot Permit which is similar to the FAA Sport Pilot Certificate. Plus to be an ultralight pilot you have to pass a class 4 medical which is basically seeing your doctor to sign you off.
So would you think that a U.S. pilot could convert his sport pilot certificate to a Canadian ultralight pilot permit?
