A buddy called up and asked me to checkout an airplane left in a house he bought as an investment / fixer upper. What I found was a Variese (1973)unfinished, never flown. The engine is a Confidential 0-200 brand new in the crate with log books to prove it!

So we called Central Cylinder, Omaha and it would take $4-5k to go through the engine and get it ready to fly. The engine, as it sits is worth $6k according to them. :goofy:

There was also tons of AN hardware, Cherry Max rivets, and surplus aviation stuff by the case load. They are going to have an auction and put the engine on eBay.

Anyone interested in a new O-200? :dunno:

What stage is the eze in is it a long or regular model?

It would be impossible to date a VariEze to 1973 since the prototype didn't fly until 1975 and plans sold one year later.

Look McFly...what do YOU know? :D:D:D

I have a VariEze owners manual and was seriously thinking of buying an EZE. The 2.5 G limit because of the aluminum wing attachment corrosion, lack of IFR and lack of space did it in. Longeze is a much better aircraft that improved on the weaknesses of the Vari.:D
