A friend just picked up a 1972 C-182 and a T hangar for a steal of a price. Two owner plane, the current owner has had it since 1978 and it was hangered the entire time. Total time is around 3700hrs.

Larry bought it to resell. He just wants the hangar. He figures he can sell the 182 and make a profit as "T" hangars in Juneau are between $65 to $85k. He beat another friend out of the deal by hours. Larry is a retired A&P/IA with a PPL but not current. The plane looks great but has older radios, IFR equipped.

Sure wish I would run into a deal like that sometime.

How’s this for a deal?

Is the $23,000 what the owner is willing to pay someone to take it?

Not enough.

A low time 1972 C182 with older avionics is probably worth $85k in this in market...

A guy in a hangar across from me bought older Skylane for $45K and gets free annuals from the aircraft's former owner, an aged A&P. Sweet deal.

I recently saw a low time 182 for $120K!

My cousin (a non-pilot) just sold a 1963 C-182 with a fresh engine and all steam avionics for $132,500. He bought it from my hangar neighbor for 60K about 6 months ago. Absolutely insane!
