5 legs today, 9:00am-5:00pm.
Crossed the front twice; light rime ice and continuous light to mod turbulence all the way down from 25K.
Three approaches; one missed rnav (never saw the airport or runway, it was the inside a glass of milk except for brief blurry glimpses of snow-covered creosote bushes racing by in a blizzard)
Hopped over the mountains to the alternate, which offered a much nicer option of an ils breaking out at 400' in rain and wet snow. Felt sorry for those rampers. (they are used to hot and sunny) Gassed, and back through to the warm side of the front.
Home base was still vfr...til I drove home and the front (beautifully demarcated by windshift, an edge of tall cloud bank, temp drop of 20°F over 10miles) pushed over the mountains, we have low clouds and a nice blanket of snow here now.
Ah, that evening drink and woodstove never felt so good.

.
