A Few Suprises in Plainwell MI

Made a quick trip to Plainwell Michigan 61D today, just north of Kalamazoo, MI.

A bumpy little runway with a great little diner, "The Fly Inn Restaurant" Everything you would expect at an airport diner, lots of locals driving and flying in for breakfast, great old pictures on the walls and a super staff. The building has a high curved ceiling which is internally braced with more flying wires than an old Jenny.

Great Gate Guard outside as well.

Just bring cash, no credit or debit cards.

It's a good place Dave! I've been there... as I recall, the runway felt a bit short though where takeing off right at a house on the extended center line.
