787 Nosegear collapse at gate in Frankfurt

Since this is a relatively new plane to Lufthansa, I wonder how much that played into the nose gear collapse?

Does 787 have lock pins installed after landing when it's at the gate????

Not a collapse. Gear tried to retract.
Yes--let's be precise with our terminology: Gear collapse is a secret code word in the Bonanza community that means "Pilot #'ed Up," and is often employed in the aircraft description provided by a broker when an airplane Bonanza is listed for sale. Gear retract is a universal term that refers to the stowing of the landing gear while in flight.

Well, Bonanza calls it the gear-up landing handle!

The report says two technicians in the area of the nosegear well were seriously injured. It's fortunate they weren't killed. The aircraft had less than 1,100 operating hours when the mishap occurred.
