Went out with the wife to enjoy a nice flight - until horrendous crackling feedback started over the headsets and then to the overhead speaker! It started while taxiing and I wiggled, switched, and twisted everything I could - nothing. However I did get to experience my first real world light gun signals. Was holding short and planes behind me, had to take the runway - kinda weird having no radio with tower but I did have the 'return to ramp' signal. Not a big deal but good experience. However, I was trying to convince my wife that flying is fun and safe and no issues would have been more effective.

yeah, i was holding short while switching everything but the coffeemaker and then 2 planes rolled up behind me. that's why i had to taxi on the runway, plus a few taxiways, back to the ramp. found out when i called them that it was worked on before - just decided to go out again on my ride.
