737 Overshoots Runway Ends Up in Water

I found it a little funny when she said "It's unknown whether any Australians were on board"... I don't know why, but I chuckled when I heard it. :dunno::wink2:

Basically, they feared there were people down under.

The reporter says the plane was arriving in Denpasar from London. A 737? I don't think so.
 
The Australian comment is because you're watching a video from an Australian channel. Just like if you'd seen it on an US outlet they'd wonder if there were any Americans aboard.

To answer the question however, there were only three non-Indonesians aboard, two from Singapore and one from France.

Other comments say it was an UNDERSHOOT rather than an overshoot.

The flight initiated in Bandung (West Java). It does sound like she's saying London.
