Is just me, or is the pilot using both hands on the cyclic?

Interesting picture and article, Steve. Since the 42 had a collective (like all helicopters), all I can think of is that maybe the controls are backward? Left hand on the cyclic, right hand on the collective? Being right handed, I sudder at the thought!

Nothing, of course, Tony. They're not unsafe like airplanes, where the wings can fall off, or even the tail (if it's an Airbus in wake turbulance).
