just leveled off on climb out today during an IFR lesson and the 430w shows losss is gps signal- message comes up basically stating it’s not reliable. Was out for about two min. Then came back on for about a min then lost again for a min or two. Then back on and remained on. Instructor looked at me and said well what are we going to do, that’s odd. I figured it was a test. Lol. I say no biggie our flight plan is on victor airways and our first two approaches are vor and an ILS. My flight planning was on all victor airways. I honestly thought he had some type of gps jammer in The plane to screw with me, he’s capable of that. We were below the clouds at that time with light snow showers. Once it came back on for good it was good for next 2 hours. But I always had what we were doing on backup nav ready just in case. I surprised myself how cool I was about it.

Sounds like a bad crimp on the antenna coax connector (TNC at antenna and either TNC or BNC at the tray).
