406 ELT Registration

Our ELT need to be replaced so we got a new 406. I have to register it with NOAA. When they ask me to register the online form is set up for it to be registered to an individual but my plane is owned by an LLC in which there are two members. Anyone know how you register a 406 to an entity such as an LLC or must it be registered to an individual and that's just the way its done?

Nate, it does not. Your right about the phone number but I just figured and entity could be the registrant and you might be able to add a few of the member's phone numbers as registrants. I'll just have to register it under my name.

Yeah, I was just pointing out the practical problem they're usually using the info to solve...

CAP chased an unregistered PLB here in the mountains for months one year. Some guy thought it was an avalanche beacon. LOL.

I believe you have to update the info every two years. Should be a decal on the unit with an expiration date.

No decals anymore. NOAA emails you to update the contact info sheet. Pretty simple.

Interesting. Is this fairly recent? I renewed mine 1/6/16 and form now says expires 1/6/18. But now I don't remember if I got a new decal or just made a pen and ink change to the existing one. It is in the log book

Recently when the EMTs arrived at the scene, the wife's phone was ringing, when answered they were advising her there had been an accident,,,, I'll bet she knew that.

Mine is 6 years old. I think I remember at least one new sticker. I'll look at it tomorrow.

I checked and I haven't had a new sticker. I just put the new date on with a Sharpie.
