3rd class medical drug possession charge

I went for my exam for my 3rd class medical for private pilot....I guess I was deffered...my question is I have a possession and paraphernalia charge 3 years ago on record....I went to classes can show I completed them along with probation and have no drug issues since or prior.....can I still get my 3rd class medical for private pilot license ? Will I get denial letter?

I was told by the examiner I prob will be denied however I would then appeal it and put a copy of classes I took drug evaluations I had etc ....then I will prob be ok? I mean it was 3 or 4 years ago it was possession I wasn't on anything so I was just wondering if anyone been through anything similar

No. You’ll be demanded to get the evaluation.....
