3rd class Med & RLS Med Requip

I want to get a 3rd class medical and get back in the air but have RLS and take a light dose of Requip (2mg) only at night. I have taken for several years with no side effects after waking. Is there an exemption for this med in some cases? If not how long do I need to be off of it to apply for the medical? Would be willing to even go daytime only.

No. Requip is not permitted. You can get a special if you are using Sinemet in the evening, though. I just got one approved with that exact situation.

Thank you Dr. Chien, I will investigate the use of Sinemet as a replacement. Have also thought about alternative medicine such as acupuncture etc but not found any conclusive evidence of successful treatment.
