I found out the hard way yesterday that if you go for a second medical within 3 months, the AME cannot issue it in the office. I renewed my second class at the beginning of April (on schedule), and was trying to upgrade to a first class. Had to go to a new AME (old guy wasn't a Senior AME and thus couldn't do a first class) and now this. Grrrr. Why does this rule exist? Also, I'm trying to make sure that the AME's assistant managed to get everything to them correctly - She's... uh... got some life experience but didn't seem particularly good with computers. But when I call CAMI all I get is the "We are experiencing high call volume at this time and are unable to assist you" message. What's the magic trick to get through?
