21st Century Buggy Whips

Actually, turntables and vinyl are growing in popularity again, at least with audiophiles. There are more good turntables available than ever before, priced from $300 to $30K, and new vinyl is being released every day.

I need to break out my Luxman, dust it off and get back to the serious business of listening to music without the digital loss...

... on a 6L6 tube amp, of course. Wouldn't want that solid state/transistor noise either, now would we? ;)

Motown was recorded with tubes, sounds best on tubes.

I've actually had to teach a couple of people at work how to re-tension a few 8-track tapes in the last couple of years. Old locomotives, up until a couple of years ago used 48 hour event recorders with 8-tracks in them. I was the only person in the place who had ever taken the things apart.
And In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida shows up on my Pandora station every few days. as does D.O.A. by Bloodrock.:yikes:
