Grocery stores are full of people wearing their gear, from babies to geezers. Parking lots are filling up, and the smell of charcoal and excitement permeates the crisp fall air.

Milwaukee has a team that is young and hungry, but despite their age seems completely unfazed by pressure. They have the most wins and the most come from behind wins, with the second least home runs and one of the smallest payrolls in Major League Baseball. They just trust each other, count on one another, and lift each other up to the highest level of the game, led by a manager that carries pancakes in his pocket, which is apparently the secret to getting Manager of the Year, since he just picked up his third in a row.

This team is hard not to love, and this city is behind them all the way! Win our way! Go Brewers!!!

I didn’t know all that stuff about them. Great story. I’m in. Of course I gotta be anyway, great story or not. It would make the Padres look bad if the team that beat them lost.

Well, Game 1 was exciting as expected. Hyped crowd, Brewers playing their Small Ball game, Wild Bill catching the team with the most steals this year TWICE because he's the best at it and has throwing accuracy that makes pitchers jealous.

Time for Game 2!!!

They. Do. NOT. Quit!!! Gave up 4 runs in the top of the 1st, locked in and came back to win Game 2.

BTW, in what may be the most Wisconsin thing ever, in honor of the Brewers' first World Series appearance in 44 years, yesterday Kwik Trip gave away free beer to everyone.

Do ya think Tom was Brewers fan…

This team is really special. Milwaukee and The Whole state of Wisconsin is so hungry for a World Series championship that it makes us ‘Sconies get a bit emotional. Let’s go Brew Crew. Bring it home.

I've never forgiven Milwaukee from stealing the Seattle Pilots from us after just one lousy season. The PIlots became the brewers and Seattle had to wait another 7 years to get the Mariners.

Milwaukee is great for stealing teams. First they stole the Braves from Boston then after they escaped to Atlanta they stole the Pilots.

Is the World Series the one with the big orange ball or the little white ball? I know the Superbowl, that's football, which uses the black and white ball.

Nauga,
who does not taunt happy fun ball

Extra points for the happy fun ball reference!

I'm going with Tampa all the way.

Maybe ya shoulda gone to a game or something... They were already bankrupt!

It is a bit of a crazy story.

That's because it's the only way MLB would let us have a team!!! Multiple attempts were made by a local car dealer who bought a minority stake in the Milwaukee Braves while they were here to get a new franchise after the Braves left for Atlanta, and he kept getting turned down. The Pilots' bankruptcy led to their purchase by the same guy and move to Milwaukee a week before the season.

You might have heard of him... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bud_Selig

Dang Brewers!!! That was a smackdown. 8/9 starters got a hit, 8/9 starters got an RBI, Robert Gasser became the first lefty to sit down the first 18 batters in a World Series game since Sandy Koufax, Chourio had some other thing that hadn't been done since Ty Cobb, and that fifth inning just looked like a bunch of kids having the time of their life in the sandlot as they scored 8 straight runs with two outs.

I Brew-lieve!!!
