2012 Baja Whales Fly-in

It's on the calendar for March 8-12, 2012. The Baja Bush Pilots are again sponsoring a trip down to "pet the whales". We've gone twice and are planning to go again! If you've ever wanted to "Fly Mexico", but haven't yet, this is a great first trip. You have to be a member of BPI, but the cost is minimal, and they help out with all the border-crossing stuff and facilitate everything in Mexico. You couldn't find a better bunch of folks. Expect about 30-40 planes, but I've seen 60+ in the past. $450 covers 4 nites hotel (on the beach in Loreto), many meals, Whale permits, and more.

The time has come... Baja Whales Fly-in 2012. 50-60 planes signed up. We'll be meeting in Loreto this Thursday-Monday. Weather looks BEAUTIFUL... sunny and 80 degrees! More info

Made it to Loreto Mexico from Phoenix... Nice tailwind the whole way, seeing 145-150kts gs much of the way.. not bad for a Light Sport! 52 planes. Weax nice, but still a little breezy. Flight tomorrow to Pacific side for whale petting.
