Pre-takeoff checklist
Hello Everyone,
Thanks to your support, we've had a great registration drive this year and we are just days away from our mass arrival with over eighty (80) pilots ready to fly it. This number is our final number at the closing of registration for 2010 after the inevitable attrition at the end.
Be on the lookout for a special issue of our newsletter due in your inbox in the early morning of Wednesday July 14th. Check your inbox, junk and spam folders. Make sure our domain name cessnas2oshkosh.com is one of your preferred websites in the security tab of your browser and email client.
Our Cessna Lead Pilot and Chief of Juneau Operations, Craig Chipley, has worked really hard putting together the details of the ground operation at Juneau with safety as our main concern and an incident-free operation as our main operational objective.
We're expecting over eighty (80) Cessnas 2 Oshkosh's aircraft in Dodge County Airport (KUNU) this year. These are in addition to the seasonal increase of traffic in Juneau due to the many aircraft bound to AirVenture that make Dodge County Airport (KUNU) their last fuel stop before hitting RIPON. It is crucial that everyone of our pilots become familiar with the ground operation at Juneau.
Craig Chipley has put together a series of illustrated procedures to make the surface movement of aircraft and vehicles a safe one. All this information is being put together in our upcoming newsletter to be published next Wednesday.
When you land in Juneau, look for one of us, Rodney, Craig or myself, and ask how you can help. You may also ask Tim Bentheimer or Mary Gasper of Wisconsin Aviation. We will need all the help we can get. There are plenty of chores to do. Don't be shy, we're not.
