Newish PPL and Cessna owner here trying to do my part and not just stay legal, but also avoid causing conflicts. I'm very comfortable with the legal aspects of the airspaces but finding a way that is legal, and doing what the locals do to stay out of the way are different stories.
Anyone familiar with the local "customs" regarding flying into Grove Field? Particularly I am trying to figure out what the typical way local pilots would approach and join the pattern when coming from the south (navigating through/around PDX Charlie and TTD Delta airspaces)?
In the past when I've flown this area I've been heading further north and have stayed well above everything, or have been flying into the towered fields and followed the Tower's instructions. I always use flight following.
