I had the wheel fairings removed from the airplane because it was difficult maneuvering the airplane to get the mains valve stem in the right place to periodically check air pressure and put air in when needed (the front wheel is much easier). Was wondering if I put them back on if it would harm the structure to put a scissors jack under the strut end to lift the mains one side at a time to get easier access to the valve stem. Any thoughts? Thanks

I removed the wheel pants on my 140 in order to save weight... the 140 doesn't have a lot of useful load.

I suspect it would be easier to just move the airplane a little to expose the valve stem

The last time I filled up my tire with air, the next landing I had a flat. Not sure that I messed that up (I am pretty mechanically inclined) but just take your time and get your psi correct before playing with that.
