172 down in Redlands

Does anyone still have the post for 10 ways pilots crash airplanes?

The only way I see to stop doing the same things is to change up the training.

Training can change/improve things in certain scenarios, but as my ground school instructor used to make us verbalize constantly, “judgement.” He would repeatedly remind us that at the end of the day, no matter how skilled, living and dying in aviation often comes down to judgement.

ASN says it was a C175 Skylark (N9217B), not a 172. Registered owner Christopher P Hark of Big Bear City.

EDIT- Two of the victims have been identified as Shery Doucette, an airport district employee, and her 11 year old daughter, Gineva Doucette.

2nd EDIT - KBHR Big Bear News updated its report and confirms the third fatality was Chris Hark, the owner and pilot of the plane.
