Sunday evening - it looks like a CFI/student died from a forced landing caused by an engine failure while doing some pattern work. The plane missed a buddy's hanger by about 20 feet. No names released yet, but it is definitely one of the United (UFS) rental planes. Another poster on here had a magneto failure in one of UFS' planes recently, but I can't recall if that was the same airplane.

Regardless, please keep the individuals affected in your thoughts and prayers.

Wasn't Mike Orrson, I hope.
Terrible news.

My best to the Family/Loved ones. So sad.
