Why is there a 15 second timer before you can hit the "recent activity" button again? I don't know how long most folks take to read a message, but I'm fairly quick about it, and find myself spending a fair chunk of time waiting until I can go back to see new messages. Can this be done away with?

It's called search-flood control. The search routines are rather processor intensive and involve several database queries. Limits are placed on how frequently one can hit 'search' because otherwise aggressive visitors (hackers) could use the function repeatedly (spam clicking using automated scripts) to bring the site to its knees.

Trust me - 15 seconds is nothing. You should see some sites I go to that have 1 MINUTE limits on searches.

Just hit the back button instead, Joe. :)
