10 Sexiest accents

That article is a bunch of BS. If you don't include America's Southern Belle you don't have a clue what "sexy accent" means.

Next to the Swedish on my wife has of course.

Dated a Norwegian foreign exchange student once. Loved that accent!

+1 - very much agree

But which is more attractive...the 1% that are real or the 99% that are fake?
:rolleyes2:

My you are picky.

I'm not sure I have enough experience to really tell except for the really bad fakes, but at least they're trying.

Oh it's just that we had a girl move to our school (in Missouri) from the south when we were in 4th grade. She still had her southern belle accent 8 years later when we graduated from high school. By the time we got to high school she was obviously fake and it was nauseating. More recently I've spent a lot of time in The South, including living in AL, MS & GA for 3 years, and have found that there are many, many more just like her.

It's not my cup of tea.

I know what you mean. I really don't like fake anything about people.

But if you don't say something nice about Southern girls I'm telling Diana.:hairraise:

I would probably say French, followed by Queens, NY (no, seriously)... but when you get down to it, it's the sexy, not the accent. And it's not always about looks... some women just sound sexy to me.

He did say Queens. Whassa madda fur youse?
Plenty of sexy women from Brooklyn, but I used to work with an enchanting lady from Queens who could probably make me crazy reading the phone book aloud (the Queens phone book, of course). :D

The difference between her Queens accent and the stereotypical "quacking yenta" thing was like the difference between a real southern belle and some trailer-park harpie seen on an episode of Cops.
Same accent, technically, but different. As is usually the case, the line would become blurred when she was angry. :D

But in the end, for me it wasn't really the accent so much as the association of the accent with her, I guess. She just had, um, a very pleasant voice... :D

I dig Scottish and Italian accents.

Australian accents sound interesting, but, as with the American Southern accent, a bit on the unintelligent side.

IMHO. YMMV. And I would not, could not, kick Elle Macpherson out of bed.

To me, that accent has always said "I'm stupid trailer trash".

To each their own, the Southern accent never has done much for me. I like the British Cockney accent, is sounds sophisticated.

Big difference between "southern belle" accent and "southern trailer trash" accent.

You do realize that, to the British, Cockney sounds like stupid trailer trash?

Couldn't sound any trashier/stupid than a New York/New Jersey accent.:rolleyes2:

Are the rolleyes because for some reason you assume that I would want to defend a NY/NJ accent??

When I hear the NJ/NY heavy accent, like the Brooklyn crow accent, I think that it is coming out of the opening that your avatar is presenting to the camera.

The funny thing about that accent though is that whenever I think of 9/11 that is what I hear it in my head or when I hear the accent I think of 9/11. The secretary down the hall from my office spoke like that. On 9/11 she was on the phone to hear daughter in NYC who had a view of what was going on. So most of my news was coming from here and listening to her state things like 'OH GAWD THE TOWER FELL DOWN', over and over.

Fixed that for ya! :vomit:
