They're cheap, ABS plastic things; but they work well, and the batteries are included. I picked up a bunch of them in anticipation of Sandy's visit.

I have a batch of these, and they work just fine.

Advice: Calling what come installed in them, "batteries," is a very kind characterization. If the light is working bright, fine, but yank and replace the batteries with real batts (Duracell, Ray-O-Vac, Energizer) at first sign of dimming.
