Glad they found a boat to ditch near and they survived. With the plane sinking, it'll be interesting to hear how the story goes.

Always look for marine traffic when going over water,like looking for open fields when over land.

Nicely done whoever it was! This statement from the article has me wondering...

“There are a bunch of others down there,” he said. “Because of the depth of the extreme of the channel, once they’re gone they are gone."

How many are down there? That crossing from San Pedro to Avalon is probably littered with them.
