My home drome is Jefferson County International Airport (0S9) on the north end of Puget Sound. The pie at the Spruce Goose Cafe is typically reason enough to fly in, but this last weekend there was an "Airport Day" party put on by the Port of Port Townsend. There was a car show, aircraft on static display, food, music and the Port Townsend Aero Museum was open to all visitors for free. It was a great time. Does the Cafe still have the Aeroshell Hayviator poster?

Yup - still there. They've also collected pictures from local pilots to use in advertising for their specials. Ownership changed a couple of years ago, but the business was sold to the workers and they knew better than to change something that was already working well. They are open 7 days a week again. This time of year, the pies are spectacular with all the fresh fruit available.
