This one cracked me up:

07/12 – Philadelphia, PA @ Metropolitan Opera House

I grew up listening to his cassette tapes!! Might look around for a date that works. I’m amazed at the tour schedule some of these guys keep. My wife is a huge Bret Michaels fan and we go to see him when he is in the area, his schedule is insane when he is touring.

He puts on a really good show.
errr, so I'm told. I'm too cool to actually go to see, um people say.

glad this post came up again. My son is a huge Weird Al fan and we live in South Florida. I'm going to see if we can get some tickets for the upcoming show or shows.

I've been to several of his shows - they are a lot of fun. Sad to see he's not coming to my city this year. Might have to fly to one the nearby venues.

Wait...Weird Al isn't dead?

I was thinking he had to be around 60 now, and sure enough - turns 60 this year.

I always liked his stuff growing up. "Bad Hair Day" (featuring "Amish Paradise") was one of the first albums I bought. I had that on repeat in my room for many, many hours.

I saw him in Cedar Rapids. He cut his hair, so he in no longer weird looking. The posters called him "Totally Normal Al."

I was never a fan, other than cracking up whenever I happened to hear one of his songs or see a video in the MTV days. However, we've now been to see him twice in Midland in recent years, and he (and his long-time band) put on a fun, energetic show.
