kln-94 ack a-30 altitude encoder

I'm in the process of replacing my old and failing altitude encoder, with a new ACK A-30 Mod 9. I'd like to use the RS-232 output for the KLN-94 GPS, to take advantage of the simpler wiring, if possible. Any avionics techs here that have knowledge of the KLN-94 that can tell me if the KLN-94...
