    1980 TR182 Nose Wheel Shimmy

Ahh. Makes since. I noticed the nose wheel had some type of glue, similar to JBL, to static balance. What is that stuff? Seems like that works really well.

    1980 TR182 Nose Wheel Shimmy

? I’m listening to everybody. lol. I have a bushing that needs to be replaced and a seal kit for the shimmy dampner because it is leaking. That gets my plane home so I can take the tires and have them dynamically balanced which I also believe is a good idea and makes since.

Thanks for the reply. I found that the shimmy dampner seals are leaking and one of the torque link bushings needs replacing. My guess is the shimmy dampner was doing its job but working over time and the seals gave out. Ordered the torque kit and seal kit. Should be in the air again within...

Had a bad day Saturday. Came in to land and had a slight crosswind so I came in a little faster than normal. As soon as the nose wheel touched the ground it shook so bad that I had no rudder pedal control and it took me left off the runway. Luckily there was no damage. Tomorrow I will be...

    182RG

Yep. And the requirements for my CFI for IFR was a little insulting and I’m not sure he will do it. They want him to have 8 hours in a 182RG with 2 hours IFR. He flys every day and has over 12,000 hours tons of IFR with tons of complex and high performance and plenty of 172RG and 182 time...

Anybody have or know a CFI with 500 TT, 100 retract time and 50 182RG time? Preferably, in North East Texas, but I’m willing to travel. I’m buying a 182RG and need to meet a 10 hour insurance requirement. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
