Last week I flew my T206H up to 21,000ft
But right after crossing 19,000ft the manifold pressure started to Fluctuate between 24in and 30in every time I pitched the nose up or down.
Without even touching the throttle.
On lower (normal) altitudes that never happens, Manifold pressure stays...
Hey guys!
I own a Cessna 205 with a Continental IO-550
All my cylinders look fine except for #6 which is running cooler EGTs than the rest (1250°F) , and very high CHT (around 400°F) which is 20 degrees above the rest
We already checked and swapped probes, baffles, etc
What does low EGT and...
Hey guys! I’ve been doing everything to lower my CHT’s on my Continental IO-550 below 400°F
Yesterday my mechanic suggested retarding the ignition timing to 20 instead of 22
What do you guys think?
Are there any risks?

Hey guys! I’ve been having a question lately, but no one seems to have a clear answer.
I have a JPI EDM-700 installed on my Cessna 205
With a Continental IO-550
The thing is, that it shows the head temperatures digitally, but it doesn’t have a Green or Red arc.
On climbs temperatures would...

Hi Guys!
I’m flying a Cessna 205 with a Continental IO-550 in it.
My CHT’s readings are similar except Cylinder 6
c1 390°F
c2 380°F
c3 365°F
c4 350°F
c5 370°F
c6 214°F
Is this something I should be worried about?
Is 200°F too cold for a Cylinder?
The airplane just came out of the last...
Hi Guys! I own a Cessna 205 with a 3 blade Continental I-O 550
The thing is, the propeller has started to make an almost unnoticeable Pulsating Sound during cruise flight.(you can only hear it with the headsets on)
No real vibration has been felt, just the sound, like when you are flying a...
I’ve owned a Cessna 205 for 4 years now, with Monarch Caps installed and never saw a drop of water in the fuel.
But since 3 weeks ago it doesn’t matter if it rains or not, every morning after the first flight, a significant amount of water drains out of the left tank.
I’ve replaced my Caps...
Hi! I currently own a Cessna 205 with Monarch tank caps installed on it.
Water has been appearing in my left tank right after I land this past 2 weeks.
Always after I fly, never in the morning.
I’ve had this plane for a couple years now, and I’ve never seen water before. But lately water shows...
