    Trevor Jacob

If you're still bored... Can you call whatever FISDO is in his area and inquire about his status of being a pilot? That's public knowledge correct? That might clear all of this up  and you'd be a hero of course.

    King Air down near FYV

Didn't they locate the wreckage via the pilot's cell phone ping?

    King Air down near FYV

Crash happened about 20 miles north of my home airport. Conditions were MVFR with puffy cumulus yesterday. It appears he was maybe flying either the LDA 34 or RNAV 34 and turning inbound from the east. ATC audio playback is all static so can't tell. Pretty benign conditions for a rated and...

    V-Twin Down Janesville

Not saying it contributed to the accident in any way but was anyone else shocked to read the left seat pilot had amphetamines in her system?? Wasn't she a career pilot and also in the guard? Seems like a massive risk to be taking drugs like that knowing you could get tested at any point... and I...

F33 Bonanza down in Oklahoma City - 3 Fatal

LOL. It's actually historical METAR data, not TAF. http://aviationwxchartsarchive.com/product/metar Airport was closed for a while yesterday... not sure if it was related. Pilot's name is Chris Lamb. Pretty active on Facebook with his flying endeavors recently and seems decently experienced...

https://www.oklahoman.com/story/news/2022/12/06/3-dead-after-small-plane-crashes-near-yukon-oklahoma-airport/69704087007/ I'm in Oklahoma City for work training this week and this happened just a few miles away. "it rolled over chocks and became airborne"

0.252 g/dl is actually just 0.252 % BAC if I'm not mistaken. 3x the legal limit to drive according to the femoral sample. Does the 0.348 g/dl in lung mean that a breathe test would show something close to that? Or no?

"it rolled over chocks and became airborne"

https://aviation-safety.net/wikibase/245455 From the factual report: "Toxicology testing performed by NMS Labs at the request of the medical examiner identified ethanol at 0.252 gm/dl in femoral blood. Toxicology testing performed by the FAA’s Forensic Sciences Laboratory identified ethanol at...

Person jumps from aircraft landing at RDU

From the NTSB Prelim "The PIC stated that the SIC then got up from his seat, removed his headset, apologized, and departed the airplane via the aft ramp door.". I'm sorry but with all the info so far it seems HIGHLY likely almost certain this was suicide due to the co-pilot being distraught...

    TBD down in western NY

Probably not relevant but interesting - Toxicology report showed he had alcohol in his blood (although a small amount 22mg/dL) which I believe is 0.02 BAC. Since the accident occurred close to noon he was either hammered the night before or drank alcohol that morning right? Again, not saying...

Person jumps from aircraft landing at RDU

Recent comments on KR have people claiming this was possibly a check ride? That makes it a bit more interesting if true. Hard to imagine a chief or check pilot authorizing inspection of the landing gear via a jump door with no harness...
