How can I reverse this fan?

Motor on my jointer, previously repurposed on something I needed the ability to reverse rotation. Ignore the rigged up nature of the (re)install...but do note the two leads that are pulled up and wire nutted/taped off. Those previously went to a switch for reversing rotation. It's literally...

How can I reverse this fan?

There's a lot of Rube Goldberg style solutions here. Click Sac's link (well...just Google "reversing a single phase motor"). Follow some instructions relevant to your motor/situation. You'll end up adding some wire and a switch in most cases. My neighbor has a bunch of single phase electric...

    Electronic window tint

Do they have any films that remain see thru, but just get darker/lighter? Seems I've only seen where it goes from clear to opaque and back. Which isn't quite as useful in a car as would be the ability to dial 15% tint in middle of the day, and put it back to 50% at night. On my vehicles I've...

    Honda’s Best Kept Secret?

My wife toys with giving up her diesel Jetta for an electric or hybrid electric vehicle. I just don't like feeling like I'm paying retail to be a beta tester. What's the warranty situation?

    Honda’s Best Kept Secret?

I get liking V8's and turbos, I have a few of each myself. And I also understand having an opinion about what the right motor for a given situation looks like, which may not focus primarily on environmental sustainability. For example, I have a stone reliable 2 stroke boat motor on one of my...

    Interesting Finds at TSA Checkpoints

I've fouled up twice and had to give them pocket knives. And I'm a relatively frequent flier. You said regardless of my opinion, so I won't go any deeper than to say "very poor". And completely unrelated to my knife donations...that's on me.

    DuPuis Family Cobra Build

I had a 93 RX7. Loved the car, wife did too... I had the boost turned up a bit, 3in exhaust and otherwise stock and it would flat fly. Problem with them now is most have either been wrecked or butchered... And if they haven't, they're $25,000+ for a 1993 car that makes <300hp to the wheels...

Well nobody said you did, or certainly not that you did it on purpose... But there are documented instances of both mistakes as well as straight up railroad jobs... So it does happen.

    Drones shut down airport

Oh I'm not doubting it was out there, I'm just curious where the reporting was from... To no particular end, just curious.

    Drones shut down airport

Was that a reference to the now released, and apparently innocent couple that were arrested? Curious where your info is (was) coming from.

    Dr. Appointment rant.

Wife and I have that argument regularly (I'm mostly in agreement with your statement... She's a doctor who ends up double booked). There are some valid reasons that it happens, similar to the valid, but no less frustrating, reasons it happens on flights, etc. Only in the case of doctor's, toss...

R44, I know the owner/pilot, though I was only coincidentally passing him on the bridge when I took that picture.

Followed an R44 into LIFR yesterday

Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. It was pretty wild, there was a layer on top of the bay, a gap, then a real low ceiling. Was crazy looking at the shoreline... Could just see taller roof lines poking out of the layer on the ground, then 200' higher up, cloud again.
