    Airbus FCU - FMA Relation

Good morning! I maybe posted this thread on the wrong forum this morning.... I had a question on the VS knob: when we push VS knob in CLB, DES, OP CLB or OP DES, the plane will level-off. 1) On FMA, VS= 0ft/min appears? 2) If I was in CLB or DES, when I push VS knob, the small white...

    Some Airbus PFD/ND questions!

Hi! Some new questions on PFD: When FD is OFF, the heading pointer also appears on horizon line. The scale is of 10°. Let's say that I am at 270° and I enter 320°. How does the pointer appear (ie. The scale is too small). Does 320° appear between the horizon line and altitude tape in...

    Hydraulic pump

Thanks! Does this hydraulic pump also turn the small motor which keeps the generator RPM constant? Sorry, I forgot it's name.... How does that system work? How is the generator able to turn at a constant speed? Any link with this hydraulic pump? Thanks

    Hydraulic pump

Hi! On the accessory gear-box, there is the HP/LP fuel pump and a hydraulic pump. 1) Does the hydraulic pump also pump fuel? 2) What is the difference between a pump (ie. HP/LP fuel pump) and a hydraulic pump? Thanks!

    Some Airbus PFD/ND questions!

Good morning, I had some Airbus ND questions after watching a small documentary on a flight between Shanghai to Zurich. 1) ND displays green dashes (ie. managed route) when the plane is in HDG. But in that video, FMA displays NAV but on the ND, we can still see green dashes and a...

    A small vertical speed doubt!

Thanks for the quick reply, 1) Won't it be MACH (above FL250, FM only computes ECON Speeds) / VS -200ft / NAV? 2) So let's say that FCU ALT = 35000ft. I will hear an ALT alarm above 35 250ft (ie.+200ft/min) and one below 34 750ft? Will I hear it till I hit the ground? Thanks

    A small vertical speed doubt!

Thanks R&W, So you get an ALT alarm for 250 seconds, right? Thanks

    A small vertical speed doubt!

Hi! Ok, I am at ALT CRZ. I pull VS knob (ie. VS = 0). I then turn the knob : 200ft/min without changing the ALT. What happens? I am at ALT CRZ. I pull VS knob (ie. VS = 0), I then turn the knob : -200ft/min without changing the ALT. What happens? If someone could just tell me what FCU &...

    A320 Flight Controls

Hi, just taking this post back... In Ground mode, when the aircraft reaches 75 kt during the takeoff roll, the system reduces the maximum up elevator deflection from 30 ° to 20 °. Does that mean that full AFT side-stick is no more equal to 2.5G but a G lower than it? So basically, the G...

    Rotor Active Clearence Control (RACC)

Good morning, Could anyonrme explain me whatvis RACC - Rotor Active Clearence Control - for the 320? Thanks

    A320 Flight Controls

Yes! In normal law of course. Do what is the G "range" the AP doesn't try to exceed? Thanks

    A320 Flight Controls

Thanks a lot SinglePilot, So when AP/FD modes are flying the plane, they always remain between -0.5g & 1.3g? Thanks
  16. T

    A320 Flight Controls

Yes, so when you roll, you lose altitude. To remain at LVL, you increase AoA (so G load). When you complete roll, you are at the same altitude and G load is equal to 1. I am *normally* right! ^^ :) But I am not talking about roll. I am talking about the first picture posted by R&W (page...

    A320 Flight Controls

No problem for APC! ;) Ok, so roll has nothing to do with G! On the first picture posted by R&W, it says that side-stick also demands an AoA. Could you please explain that? Thanks!

    A320 Flight Controls

Thanks, So could you please explain me this? hen you turn full right (you want max rate of roll), you reach 1.25g? Please explain, TBF

    A320 Flight Controls

Thanks a lot, Please allow me to come to roll. Your side-stick now commands a rate of roll. How does rate of roll affect G load? When the rate of roll is not increasing/decreasing, the plane is at 1G? Thanks

No, it is just for passion. It is not at all helping me for school... Thanks to help (isn't it right?) Have a nice sunday, TBF
