Does anybody perform an inflight, high-power, lean-of-peak mag check

Yes, I've done them before. It's the best way to test if you have any sort of issues with your magnetos. The normal mag check on the ground is a very basic check.

NA The REAL National Champions NA

I was really impressed with the throws on both sides but that Alabama QB brought it home for them. Great player. And he moved from Hawaii to Alabama. I would have loved to have seen his face for that one.

Are Large or small jets easier to fly?

I agree. The 172 has crazy turning tendencies that make the airplane always want to go in a direction you didn't tell it to go. Plus, it has multiple flap speed with no speed protections. You have to be super careful so you dont overspeed. With the 737, you can go to sleep at the gate and it...

"Is there anything else you'd like to try?"

Done the Hudson. That was one fun. I landed in the water on the first one. The second time around I made a turn to LGA, landed, and used the remaining energy to roll to a gate. lol That's a good idea. Ill jot that one down. That's also good. Thanks. If any other GA guys have stuff to add, feel...

"Is there anything else you'd like to try?"

EMB145 We have generic airports besides a few major ones in the northeast (whatever that means here) but ill ask.

"Is there anything else you'd like to try?"

I'm assuming you mean the box. Yes, an FAA approved sim that I got my type in. I wish but I don't think we have that in our database...

"Is there anything else you'd like to try?"

Hey all, I know there are a few airline drivers here so I thought I'd throw this out before I posted on some other airline-oriented forums. I finished up a maneuver's val. today far ahead of schedule and after we were done checking the boxes, I got the question - "Is there anything else you'd...

    Snow in Atlanta

Thanks to the snow, in stuck up here at work instead of at home with my family. All of the flights were oversold. Trying to commute home would have been a nightmare. Even the flight up to ABE was delayed big time.

Anyone ever hear of an O-320 going 4700 SMOH???

Recommended overhaul is not a f*king limitation. 1801 will not kill you. Id trust a high-time engine before I trusted anything with less than 500 hours.

    Flying an unfamiliar aircraft type

Run through the POH and go fly. This idea of needing instruction to move between common SEL types is a scam.

    probably dumb question

Been there. Taxiing from Signature from 2C is a real pain in the ass. 13 would be much easier and with winds less than 6kts, the direction is hardly an important factor.
