How long does it take FAA to issue perm doc

I passed my private check ride over 6 weeks ago. How long does it take for the FAA to generate the perm document? Update: received on Nov 23. Right about 2 months. WooHoo Well it's a good thing the government is not involved in health care and I needed an emergency procedure.

    Finally- PPL

It's taken me a while, but the checkride is done. Between work travel, new job, family, bad weather, changing CFI at the end, I've completed this. Now to decide where to go first. I'm out of KLVJ, Pearland Tx. I've found the posts here helpful and entertaining too. Thanks to everyone ...

    PA-32 Down South of Houston

This one hits close to home for me. I did not know the owner, but I have taken a ride in this plane with my CFI earlier in the year. I saw this on the news and when I saw the partial tail # "5PK" and the paint scheme I was shocked. Prayers for this family.

    First Aircraft purchase... Mooney?

Not to hijack the thread, but how does the Mooney compare in width to a PA-28? I'm training in an Archer II, so I have wondered about how close they are? How does the headroom compare - I'm only 5'11"" and with the headset on if I sit tall I can knock the ceiling. The Mooney is on my radar as...

I now have the medical...Full speed ahead

Hi all, I started training in November. I had an issue getting my medical and with the slowness of the FAA. I've about 18 hours and the CFI has has us do some cross country work. I found the cert in the mail today. Now I don't have that cloud over me, so I am looking forward to the rest. I...

So, student pilots.. Who are we and where do we stand?

I also have about 10 hours in. Just started trying to land last week. Much harder than I thought. I was better this week. Doing it alone seems intimidating. However, I am really enjoying flying
